Emergency Update/Need!

Aside from the ongoing needs of the people, we have a more emergent situation that needs our immediate compassion and attention.  This story is something we have likely not heard in America. 

The people in one of the villages we support in Pakistan had sold themselves to a brickyard for food and housing to survive. The brickyard wall fell and injured 13 families there and shut down the brickyard due to damages. The owner wants the people to rebuild the brickyard or be on the streets. He is blackmailing them that if they don't keep quiet about his fault, he will jail them for not paying their loans. We need to raise $2,500 to buy their freedom and give them sewing machines to earn some money on their own.  If we can do this, we can free approximately 100 people from slavery to the brickyard.
