In today's post, we want to focus on the people in a particular village who are basically indebted with their lives to brickyard owners. This debt is due to loans the people took from the owners in order to obtain basic living necessities. These people have no freedom; they are bound to the brickyards until their debt is paid. Obviously, anyone who knows the Bible can see how this story mimics the children of Israel, bound in Egypt. This is still happening in our world today! We at Winning Pakistan do not pretend to be able to solve all of the atrocities that we see in Pakistan (realizing this i not just limited to Pakistan), as they are great beyond our imagination. But once we are made aware, then we know that we must do something, even if it is simply to pray. As a matter of fact, prayer can open the heavenly floodgates of provision and redemption that we could never control or manipulate even in our zeal to help. And it is this where we ask you to come into agreement with us... in prayer! Please pray for the redemption, release, and restoration of these people, now bound into slavery and barely getting by from day to day. They need our fervent prayers and our love, and our obedience in prayer will move our Father's heart towards them and hear both our cries and theirs! (Emphasis in red below) For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand [heart] wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. Deuteronomy 15:11
